1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Dage Tilbage ("Service," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Dage Tilbage is a free countdown timer application that allows users to:

• Create and manage countdown timers for events
• Optionally view weather forecasts for event dates
• Create groups and share countdowns with others
• Access the service via web browser

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use this Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Account Registration

4.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an account by:

• Registering with an email address and password, or
• Signing in via a third-party authentication provider (Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft)

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

4.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate.

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
• Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
• Scrape, data mine, or use automated tools to access the Service
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited messages
• Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service

6. User Content

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create (countdown titles, group names, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

6.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your content and the consequences of posting it. We do not endorse or guarantee the accuracy of user content.

6.3 Prohibited Content

You may not post content that is:

• Illegal, harmful, or promotes illegal activity
• Harassing, abusive, or hateful
• Violates intellectual property rights
• Contains malware or malicious code
• Sexually explicit or pornographic

7. Location Data and Weather Features

Use of weather forecast features requires your explicit consent to share location data with third-party weather APIs. You can:

• Opt-in to location features during registration or in settings
• Withdraw consent at any time in your account settings
• Continue using all other features without providing location data

8. Groups and Sharing

• Group owners have full control over their groups, including adding/removing members
• You are responsible for managing access to your groups
• Removing a member from a group will revoke their access to group content
• Deleting a group will remove all associated data

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Service Ownership

The Service, including its design, code, features, and trademarks, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our permission.

9.2 Open Source

Portions of the Service may use open-source software licensed under various open-source licenses.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services:

• Authentication: Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft
• Weather data: Open-Meteo API, Nominatim/OpenStreetMap

Your use of these services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Service Availability

We do not guarantee that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Countdowns will be perfectly accurate
• Weather forecasts will be accurate or reliable
• The Service will meet your specific requirements

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

12. Limitation of Liability

This includes but is not limited to:

• Missed events due to incorrect countdowns
• Inaccurate weather forecasts
• Loss of data or content
• Service interruptions or downtime
• Unauthorized access to your account

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your content posted on the Service

14. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with GDPR.

• We only collect data necessary to provide the Service
• You have full control over your data (access, export, delete)
• You can withdraw consent for optional features at any time
• We will never sell your data to third parties

15. Account Termination

15.1 By You

You may delete your account at any time by:

• Going to Settings → Delete Account, or
• Contacting us at info@dagetilbage.dk

Upon deletion, all your data will be permanently removed in compliance with GDPR (except consent records retained for legal purposes).

15.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Pose a security risk to the Service or other users
• Abuse or misuse the Service

We will provide notice before termination unless immediate action is required for legal or security reasons.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date and version number
• We will notify you via email or in-app notification
• Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance
• If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and delete your account

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark and the European Union. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Denmark.

18. Dispute Resolution

If you have a complaint or dispute:

1. Contact us first at info@dagetilbage.dk to resolve the issue informally
2. If unresolved, you may file a complaint with your local consumer protection authority
3. EU residents may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

21. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
